We at PETER O’CONNOR recently had a team-building day at Castlecomer Discovery Park and found it to be a perfect location for a day out. Peter O’Connor recognises that outings such as this encourage collaboration between employees. They improves performance, enhances respect for each other and ultimately are just good fun!
Castlecomer Discovery Park
We all enjoyed the various activities such as Archery, peddle boating and, for those of us brave enough, the Tree-Top Adventure Walk. One highlight of the day was when several of us braved our fear of heights to complete the 300 metres long and 35 metres up above ground Zip-Line. There was a unanimous agreement that everyone would love to do this again. We ended the activities with kayaking, which gave us a chance to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The importance of team building
We have found that one benefit of doing team-building activities is that co-workers get to know each other better outside of an office environment, enabling better cohesion within the office. Setting aside this time for team building helps everyone at Peter O’Connor’s to relieve stress and become re-energized.
